OSHA’s Mission
OSHA’s mission is to ensure that America’s workforce has access to safe and healthy working environments, safeguarded from illegal retaliation. The agency fulfills this mission by establishing and enforcing standards, upholding anti-retaliation provisions of the OSH Act and related federal whistleblower statutes, offering training, outreach, education, and support, and collaborating with state OSHA programs to guarantee that they are at least as effective as federal OSHA, thus advancing a national framework for worker safety and health protections.
